The trailer begins with a robot. He sits on a car and does not move. It soon becomes clear that he is broken and / or must be deactivated. Years fly by (the surrounding city is in an assembly overgrown by trees and shrubs) until finally, deep in the robot, a counter will jump from 99% to 100%. Lights begin to flash, processes are started and just before the trailer ends, we see how the robot hand moves.
This mysterious game called Reset and it is developed by two Finnish programmers who call themselves Theory Interactive. Itself, they are especially proud of the graphics (the in-game images are as beautiful as this trailer … they say), but I’m especially curious about the intriguing time travel concept. Reset is a first-person puzzle game where you travel back in time with yourself to work together. Interactive Theory describes the experience as “singleplayer co-op.” Sounds like Cursor * 10, The Company of Myself and a handful of free flash games, but in a three dimensional environment I’ve never been that way puzzled. That idea + this atmospheric trailer is enough to make me curious. Hopefully the Theory Interactive to this ambitious project is actually complete.
